Financial Planning Seminar Program

To All MTA/PTSC Employees:

At the request of our employees and with the full support of management, the Benefits Department implemented a series of Financial Planning Seminars in October of 1999.

This program began in October 1999 at Gateway and is now also being conducted at the division level. The seminar consists of four continuous weeknights (Example: 4 continuous Wednesday nights from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm or Saturday mornings from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm).

The seminar program will be open to all employees and/or their spouse or significant other. Regardless of your age, it is never too early to get your financial house in order and plan for house/condominimum ownership, college tuition for yourself and your children, and eventually retirement.

Employees who attend this motivating seminar learn how to realistically provide for retirement. You are educated about how to integrate pension, 401(k), 457, and Social Security benefits with other investment options. You will also learn about diversification and proper allocatin of assets according to your own objectives, risk tolerance, and prio investment experience.

Each employee is entitled to an optional, free, personal financial planning consultation as part of the seminar. Employees are under no obligation before, during, or after the seminar and no commitments are expected. Employees are encouraged to attend with a spouse or with a significant other and receive a seminar workbook packed with 155 colorful pages of useful information. Every employee who attends will also receives a complimentary financial analysis form that will help him or her assess their current financial status and set realistic retirement goals.
